Female Conditions, Hormones & Fertility

Why Female Hormones & Fertility Health Matters

Hormones play a central role in many female health issues – it’s not just about menstrual cycles or fertility, but mood, energy, skin, digestion and long-term wellbeing. At Performance in Health, my passion for female hormonal balance is rooted in both personal experience and extensive training.

Healthy hormones support fertility, predictable cycles, better sleep, clear skin, balanced mood and more. Imbalances can contribute to conditions like PCOS, endometriosis, painful or irregular periods, PMS & PMDD, menopausal symptoms, acne, fertility challenges and more.

Affecting the Body and Mind

Hormone and fertility issues can affect the body in many ways, from disrupted menstrual cycles that are irregular, heavy, painful or infrequent, through to difficulties conceiving or sustaining pregnancy. Women may also experience mood swings, fatigue, low libido, acne, unwanted hair growth or hair loss, as well as sleep disturbances, weight gain and metabolic imbalances such as insulin resistance. As hormones shift with age, symptoms like hot flushes, hormonal migraines and estrogen fluctuations can become more pronounced during perimenopause and menopause.

How I Support Female Conditions, Hormones & Fertility with Naturopathy

To address these concerns, I take a comprehensive and natural approach. I begin with a detailed health history and, where needed, functional testing such as hormone panels, thyroid checks and metabolic markers. Treatment plans are highly individualised, focusing on dietary and lifestyle strategies to support menstrual regularity, metabolic health and gut integrity, alongside targeted use of herbal medicine and nutritional supplements to regulate hormones and reduce symptoms. This holistic care also considers mood, sleep, digestion, liver detoxification, stress management and immune function as essential parts of restoring balance and optimising fertility.
